Morocco-vs-Benin-International-Friendly

Morocco will host Benin at the Complexe Sportif de Fes on Monday for their second international friendly of this window. The Atlas Lions will look to continue their red-hot form. They are already riding high on confidence following an impressive 2-0 win over Tunisia last week with Champions League winner Achraf Hakimi among the scorers.

That victory extended Morocco’s outstanding unbeaten run to 11 consecutive wins across all competitions since their last loss in January 2024 to South Africa in the Africa Cup of Nations. On the other hand, Benin will be making their only appearance during this international break and enter the match desperate to halt a seven-game winless streak. However, facing a dominant Moroccan side on home soil will be a significant challenge. Given Morocco’s current momentum, they are the firm favourites to secure a 12th straight victory.

Morocco Injury News

Morocco will be without key playmaker Brahim Diaz, who continues to recover from injury. Meanwhile, winger Abde Ezzalzouli is also unavailable for selection. Club Brugge winger Chemsdine Talbi might also miss out on this match due to fitness concerns. Following his strong performance off the bench against Tunisia, Olympiacos striker Ayoub El Kaabi is expected to start up front in this match.

Morocco Predicted Line-Up

Bounou; Hakimi, Yamiq, Masina, Belammari; Amrabat; Seghir, Ounahi, El Khannouss, Saibari; El Kaabi
